The Senior Financial Analyst advises the Firm's practice group leaders and senior managing partners on individual and team financial performance. This position generates and delivers in-depth analysis of historical and prospective financial results and proposes opportunities to improve the financial strength of the Firm. The Senior Financial Analyst relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

As a Sr. Financial Analyst you will:

  • Prepare, consolidate, and summarize monthly and ad-hoc financial reports including attorney and practice group performance and profitability metrics and projected trends
  • Recommend improvements to financial reporting policies, procedures, and practices and communicate benefits to management
  • Consult with partners regarding the management and tracking of client pricing strategies and budgets for existing and prospective client work
  • Analyze strategic investment opportunities, including lateral individual and/or group hires, office openings and closures, attorney departures, and mergers or acquisitions
  • Collaborate with assigned practice group and department leaders to ensure timely and accurate annual budget submissions
  • Prepare, audit, and present materials for the office, department, and practice group budget and rate setting processes
  • Assist with the maintenance of the firm's profitability software and reporting tools
  • Create, monitor, and approve wire transfers and files
  • Assist with Quarterly Bank surveys

Job Specifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least five (5) years of related work experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word
  • Knowledge of Accounting & Finance principles and software, including analysis and reporting of financial data
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment
