Sioux City, Iowa

Full-time Benefit Package

Shift: Monday-Friday, 8 am to 5 pm

**$5,000.00 Sign-on Bonus for External Candidates.

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse to join our Foot and Ankle Clinic team. As a Nurse specializing in foot and ankle care, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive nursing services to patients with podiatric conditions.   • Conduct thorough assessments of patients with foot and ankle conditions, including wound assessments, range of motion evaluations, and pain assessments.
    Educate patients on foot and ankle health, treatment options, and preventive measures.
    Provide instructions for post-operative care, wound care, and use of orthopedic devices
  • Assist podiatrists and orthopedic surgeons during foot and ankle procedures, including surgeries, injections, and minor office procedures.
    Prepare procedure rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure proper equipment functionality
  • Perform wound care, dressing changes, and suture removals as prescribed by healthcare providers.
    Monitor wound healing progress and document findings accurately.
    Patient Follow-Up and Care Coordination:
  • Follow up with patients post-procedure to assess recovery, manage pain, and address any concerns.
    Coordinate referrals to physical therapy, rehabilitation services, or other specialists as needed
  • Maintain detailed and accurate electronic health records (EHR) for all patient encounters, treatments, and interventions.
    Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and documentation requirements.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current license to practice, RN or LPN, State of Iowa.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Mandatory Reporter training.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other healthcare technology.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
